Scared of the Dark is a ground-breaking endurance experiment, where a group of celebrities enter a specially created pitch-black reality space for seven days!
GJD’s Infra-Red (IR) LED illuminators were specified for this project due to the high product quality, quick delivery times and outstanding customer service from GJD.
The illuminators were a major part of this project, as they were used alongside production cameras to provide consistent Infra-Red illumination at all hours. This ensured the cameras always had full visibility of the scene 💡
Excellent footage, even in total darkness
Scared Of The Dark is a groundbreaking and unique new reality series on Channel 4 that broadcasts eight celebrities living in total darkness for a week for an endurance experiment. It was crucial that the production cameras would be able to capture crystal-clear images, even though the scene was pitch black. The cameras were filming 24:7, so GJD’s Infra-Red LED illuminators needed to be extremely durable and active all the time.
GJD’s IR illuminators were a major part of this experiment, as without them filming would not have been possible.
