Introduction
We are incredibly proud of our team at GJD Manufacturing Ltd.
We are habitual innovators, it’s in our blood. Security is at the heart of all we do; GJD understands that you’re putting your reputation on the line when you recommend and install one of our presence detectors, illuminators or ANPR systems. We’re the most reliable choice you can make.
Based in Heywood, Greater Manchester, we have over 32 years’ experience in the security industry. We take great pride in developing new, innovative designs; utilising the latest technology and implementing state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques.
Michael Dunne joins GJD with over 35 years of experience in the security industry, working in various senior leadership roles and possessing expertise in sales, technical advice to engineers, procurement of suppliers, as well as compliance and accreditation.
Chris initially started on a two-month temporary role in 1988 and he is the longest serving member of staff. His technical background in electronics, research skills, computer proficiency and security knowledge has made him an integral part of the company. Chris has had a variety of roles within the R&D department, including taking new product ideas, creating the design, building prototype units and testing.
Gary joined GJD in 2018 as a Technical Support Advisor. He has worked in the security industry for over 22 years and has extensive experience in the design, installation and maintenance of GJD’s security equipment. Previously, Gary had an internal technical sales role at a global security company. This included training internal sales teams across Europe and South Africa. He has also worked in a variety of technical leadership roles for the NSI, Bafe and SSAIB accredited security installation companies.
Alison joined GJD in 2004 as the Financial Controller and brings two decades of experience in the manufacturing industry. During her tenure, she has also undergone HR and leadership training, enriching her expertise in supporting both staff and directors. Outside of work, Alison enjoys woodworking, gardening, and reading.
Ben is GJD’s regional UK Sales Manager for North England, Ireland, and Scotland. Ben has many years of experience in the security industry. Previously working as a sales engineer for one of the largest security distributors in the industry. He has also worked in the security installation sector, helping customers design solutions from initial concept to completion. He has a keen eye for detail and is able to use his expertise and product knowledge to specify robust perimeter protection solutions.
Stephen serves as a key link between the customer, external sales team, purchasing, production and finance. As one of the longest serving members of staff, he started with the company in a temporary sales role when it was based in Bolton and stayed with GJD when it relocated to its current site at Heywood. Stephen furthered his qualification from a HND to upper second-class degree in Business Studies. He is an excellent team player and is crucial to the success of the company.
Lynsey joined GJD in 2022, collaborating with Stephen in Internal Sales. With more than 10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, she possesses strong business management skills and a keen focus on customer service. Lynsey is a valuable team player, eager to contribute to the company's global growth. In her free time, she is an avid animal lover and passionate writer, currently working towards publishing her first book.
Jenny is a strategic, solutions-focused marketing professional with global experience across leading organisations in Sport, Technology, FMCG, and Banking. Known for challenging the status quo, she consistently seeks innovative marketing approaches and is passionate about driving impact, business growth, and evolving how companies deliver value to their customers
