GJD launches two new products at The Security Event 2022

GJD, award-winning UK designer and manufacturer of advanced external motion detectors, LED illuminators and ANPR cameras is excited to announce the company is exhibiting at The Security Event on stand 3a/A30. GJD will be launching two new external detection products and will be holding live product demonstrations. The exhibition is returning to the NEC in Birmingham from the 5th to the 7th of April 2022.

The Security Event provides professional security installers with the opportunity to view GJD’s latest security products, watch live product demonstrations, and have a one-to-one conversation with a member of the GJD team about specific site requirements for your security projects.

Building on the success of the company’s existing D-TECT range, GJD is introducing the D-TECT 60, which is a BS8418 compliant outdoor motion detector and alarm trigger. The D-TECT 60 delivers precise and reliable presence detection solutions.

Built with the latest advanced signal processing and unique optical systems. The detector can be programmed from 40 metres to 60 metres, this ensures the detector will avoid boundary overspill, making it particularly effective for external perimeter detection.

Commenting on the new product, Chris Moore, GJD’s Technical Product Manager said: “After conducting some market research, we discovered there was a gap in the market for a reliable long-range detector. The D-TECT 60 has already got lots of interest, we are looking forward to showcasing it”.

Also to be launched at the exhibition is the GEM, which provides an external narrow PIR curtain lens and has a 12 metre selectable detection range. One of the main advantages for the Security Installer is that it is possible to mount two GEM units back-to-back. This will give a longer distance, reduce cabling, and ultimately cut down installation time.

The GEM is perfect for protecting balconies and patio doors, as well as to look across windows, doors, or the entire length of a property wall.
