"GJD detectors match car dealership's style"

Hewes Security partnered with distributor ADI Gardiner to provide a car dealership with security that matches the stylish design of the cars and building.

Working with ADI Gardiner's Chelmsford branch, Hewes installed stylish D-Tect2 detectors from GJD at the new Audi dealership at Rayleigh, near Southend, Essex.

The 16 detectors were specified for the exterior of the dealership because Audi wanted security with a modern design that matched the style of the buildings on the two-acre site.

The twin PIR detector - a finalist in the 2006 IFSEC Awards – has a programmable range of 8-30m and integral masking curtains that allow its field of view to be adjusted from 10-70 degrees.

Richard Hewes of Hewes Security said the detectors met all of the needs of the site, "including superior detection and aesthetics".

Wendy Ford, North London regional business manager at ADI Gardiner said: "We were delighted that we could help Southend Audi solve a unique showroom need."
